At the turn of the 20th Century, Vienna blossomed into a city of profound cultural transformation and unparalleled innovation. It was a vibrant hub, inhabited by many of the most forward-thinking intellectuals of of the modern era. In this crucible of creativity, Vienna became the birthplace of Sigmund Freud’s groundbreaking psychoanalytic theories, the soundstage for a musical revolution led by composers Arnold Schoenberg and Gustav Mahler, and the canvas for daring new architecture and design by Adolf Loss’s and Josef Hoffmann. It was also the home of the Secessionist movement, embodied by luminaries such as Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele.
